Linuxonlinehelp? Wie bitte? Was ist das? Wie kam es dazu?

Linuxonlinehilfe (neudeutsch – denglisch) sollte die Worte Linux mit Online Hilfe verbinden. Am Anfang hatte ich vor vielen Jahren (1992) ueberhaupt keine Ahnung was Linux ist und was man damit alles machen kann. Das Internet steckte noch in den Kinderschuhen als ich in einer Buecherhandlung das damals kaum bekannte Suse Linux 6.0 kaufte. Enthalten waren 10 CDs und ein dicker Schinken ca. 600 Seiten als Handbuch. Natuerlich kam es wie es kommen musste, es gab Probleme und keine Loesungen die im Handbuch standen. Also machte ich mir ein Nachschlagewerk welches aus reinem Text bestand. Spaeter als ich DSL-Internet bekam kopierte ich den Inhalt in eine HTML Datei und machte Sie oeffentlich verfuegbar.

Linuxonlinehelp? Whats that? How did it happen?

…a easy answere!

At my first days in computing i want to put the words Linux and Online Help together, this means when i got my first touch with linux in 1992, i did’nt know much about it and what it can be used for. The DSL-Internet wasn’t very popular at this time when i bought my first bundle of Suse Linux 6.0. In the box have been 10 Cd’s and a very thick tome. Of course it comes how it must come, i got much problems and no solutions inside the tome. Then i startup to write a own little text file as manual for help. Later if my home was connected to the internet i put in a website and publishes it as Linuxonlinehelp for anytime help…
