Copy&Paste:
sudo cp setup_Mein_CEWE_Fotobuch.tgz /tmp
sudo tar -xvzf setup_Mein_CEWE_Fotobuch.tgz
sudo ./install.pl
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs-gtk
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs lib32gomp1
Unter Suse Linux 64bit sollte das gleiche Problem bestehen, hier mit Yast die 32bit Framedateien (Libraries) suchen und installieren.
..und klappt..

Background: IPv6 was implemented on newer OS, but never used at Local Networks (IPv4) cause there are no IPv6 Nameservers!!!
Solution:
- edit with #sudo nano /etc/hosts and comment out IPv6 with #
# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
#::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
#fe00::0 ip6-localnet
#ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
#ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
#ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
- then disable IPv6 on boot for the services and programs with #sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf
#disable ipv6
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1
- NOW reboot the PC and test all programs like ssh login, shell login, sudo switch, Browser..for speed should be faster..
- THIS is SAME on other OS like Windows Vista, 7, 8.. same Problems!!

On Tablets with Android or iOS don’t install Apps!! You want to ask why??
Cause theses Apps open a lot of unwanted channels to facebook and upload your private data like links,cache, cookies.. and this make high costs of traffic and break battery livetime!
I tested: Prestigio PMP 5080 Pro Android 4.0.3 (not rooted) with facebook App 3-5 hours and without 8-12hours without external power!!

firefoxbook a free chromebook replacement – Screen after boot
A free Howto to get a free Chromebook Replacement: Called Firefoxbook
Everybody knows a product called chromebook, but you must not buy such a laptop with branded OS! Here is a small Howto get a similar Laptop with free firefox.
How does it work? Easy, the Laptop boots from Stick or CF-Card to RAMDISK, the firefox profile and cache is always new created at non permanent RAMDISK. The private Mode surpress cookie and other waste. Only the Window Settings are stored (Fullscreen/ F11). After boot the Internet is connected and Firefox is shown on Desktop.
All you need:
- a Laptop, can be a older one, i prefer Thinkpads
- a Wireless/LAN Card if not available inside
- 4GB USB Stick or 4GB CF-Disk with ATA-CF-Adaptor
- Time to work
- Tinycorelinux at CD source http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/
Let’s do:
- Download Tinycorelinux and burn it to CD
- reboot the Laptop on the CD to tinycore
- open a Terminal and enter #sudo tc-install
- follow instructions
- reboot the Laptop and remove the CD
- boot the Laptop on the USB Stick
- check network connection
- if not available plugin LAN cable reboot again on stick
- or setup WIFI with the WIFI Manager
- check internet connection again
- NOW LETS MAKE SAFE!
- if the Laptop is online install firefox with: #tce-load -wi firefox
- NOW!! Create first a firefox profile on the RAMDISK!!
- do run as tc user #firefox -P
- create new firefox profilename “tmp” locate it at /tmp
- now run as user tc #firefox, close firefox!
- edit now /opt/.filetool.lst with #sudo vi /opt/.filetool.lst
- add “tmp/localstore.rdf” line, close and save
- edit as user tc #vi /home/tc/.setbackground
- add line “sh /tmp/tcloop/firefox/usr/local/firefox-official/firefox –private”
- save settings to USB Stick called mydata.tgz with #filetool.sh -b”
- run #sudo reboot
Enjoy a Firefoxbook with always safe browsing option! On every reboot the old cached data are really lost cause the profile is always placed inside ramdisk and never on chip!
Do always reboot or shutdown without backup by menu, or push only the Laptop Power Button to auto delete waste at poweroff. Other Browsers can be used also (Opera).

Problem: Windows 7 /8 and its new Apps cache and logs all your browsed internet data at your PC disc
Solution: Remove Temp Data Footprints of last Internet Sites open Internet Exploerer and insert into addressbar:
- shell:cookies
- shell:history
- shell:cache
then press CTRL+A to select all, and Shift+DEL to delete…!!
Windows 7 Apps/Plugins like adobe cache all trash of used internet sites too at
C:\Users\username\AppData\
Do never trust big company’s or social networks , they have tools to read out cache..
Problem: If you use wordpress and use a high resolution Screen on your Laptop or Workstation the dehault font size is too small.
Solution:
Edit with:
#sudo nano ../wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/advanced/skins/wp_theme/content.css
change value 13 to 16 or 19 at:
body {
font: 16px/19px Georgia, "Times New Roman", "Bitstream Charter", Times, serif;
margin: 10px;
color: #000;
}
Prio 1: Set to Prio 1 cause it prevent a remote ubuntu Server from Boot without interactive root access to the Grub 2 Boot Screen !!
Problem: If you do a release upgrade to ubuntu 12.04 use grub-pc and have a seperate /boot partition (sda1) then your server won’t boot without you pressing enter at the grub2 grub-pc menu.
Background: this is a older known bug of a header skript template.
Solution:
- for Servers you should remove grub2 and install grub
- or make changes with
sudo nano /etc/grub.d/00_header
make_timeout ()
{
cat << EOF
if [ "\${recordfail}" = 1 ]; then
set timeout=-1
else
set timeout=${2}
fi
EOF
}
change to:
make_timeout ()
{
cat << EOF
set timeout=0
EOF
}
recreate /boot/grub/grub.cfg with:
sudo grub-mkconfig
sudo update-grub
..now cross fingers and reboot the PC/Server..hope it will boot up!
REMARK: MY published security tip against init destroy by crashes setting at /etc/fstab to mount /boot partition readonly should NOT used on ubuntu 12.04 cause a file named grub-env is updated on every boot for a function named failover stamp, which prevent the timeout to auto boot a crashed server (lost power), cause the root must be manual touch the grub to boot a server to repair mode called “single mode” or “rescue mode”.

Problem: If you use IDE or SATA Disc Drives inside your Workstation or Server without a additional uninterruppted power supply after a power loss your Disc Drives can lose data, do not boot clean up agian or damage the drive headers and sectors.
Background: SATA or IDE Drives uses “Disc Cached Controllers”, the count of this disc cache reach from 8 to 64 megabytes. In case of data write to disc, the disc controllers do cache some data who are often used. A Raid 1 Disc Mirror is affected too by this problem. SCSI od SAS are not using Cache by default.
Solution:
Install the software tool called hdparm to set the cache parameters to disabled, cause most of operating systems have enabled by default.
- at Debian/ubuntu do : # sudo aptitude install hdparm
- at Centos/Redhat do: #sudo yum install hdparm
now lets show discs which are installed:
- at Debian/ubuntu do: # sudo fdisk -l
- at Centos/Redhat do: #sudo /sbin/sfdisk -l
- at FreeBSD do: # fdisk -l
yet lets take settings to disable the cache on every boot:
- at all linux do: sudo nano /etc/rc.local
- insert for every drive
hdarm -W 0 /dev/sdX (X is for a to …)
- at FreeBSD do : #vi /etc/loader.conf
- insert once for all drives
hw.ata.wc="0"
Remarks:
- If you have two drives with same physical size inside your PC config a mdadm Software Raid 1 additional on your System.
- Set the PC Bios Settings to auto boot ofter power failure and plug off the power on you testing System, check the results. There should not be needed a check disk called fsck after the Test, but its better to do it.
- Hardware Raid Controllers do often have RAM Cache too, size 128MB up to 2GB, at power loss these Data lost, this can only be surpressed by a addtition RAM Cache Backup Battery connected to the Hardware Raid Controller
